IR Informed Generation

Background

Generating queries for retrieving relevant search documents is crucial for creating IR datasets for low-resource domains as well as for helping ground language generations. Many of the approaches can be applied to scenarios including but not limited to dialogue modeling, open-domain question answering and natural language generation.

Goal

We will explore query generation approches which are conditioned to retrieve relevant (search) documents.
